| The bilateral human symmetry shared with most of the animals, relates a half of the body to other one by means of a plane of symmetry. But the symmetry in the biological world is only approximate and our bodies are not an exception. On one hand we have elements without equal, as a heart inclined towards the left side, another several tilted and only organs as the liver, or the pancreas (a pity not to have two of each one of them) or the small and useless appendix vermicular. But also, the elements that are never symmetrical the sound exactly. Two halves of a face are a perfect example so that we realize, since our brain is trained well especially to detect subtle and small facial differences.
If we divide a face for the half and generate with the help of a computer perfectly symmetrical images of each of the halves to combine them with them ... we obtain two quite different faces.
The students of the topic of the facial features tell us except that, according to his statistics, the most symmetrical faces turn out to be more attractive to the human beings, although without need to come to the perfect symmetry, whereas the very pronounced asymmetries tend to collaborate with signs of rejection.
